About Me:

Hello! I’m Monica. I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Denver, Colorado and specialize in assessment.

What I do:

  • Learning differences (Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia) assessments

  • Autism evaluations

  • ADHD evaluations

  • Cognitive testing

  • Achievement testing

  • Gifted and talented identification

  • Personality assessment and social/emotional functioning

  • Independent Education Evaluations (IEEs)

What makes me different:

  • Efficient and proactive: Assessments are completed between two and four weeks

  • Follow-ups included in the flat fee: This includes, but is not limited to, 504 meetings, IEP meetings, learning plan meetings, advanced learning plan meetings, advocacy with your school/district, as many feedback sessions as necessary with preferred family members, and connection to a vast network of interventionists

  • Warm handoff after feedback session: I meet with local and national providers on a weekly basis to ensure I am providing you with recommendations and resources that are up-to-date and well-vetted. These resources include relationships with tutors, executive functioning coaches, therapists, Autism coaches, parent coaches, and a variety of prescribers

  • Education consulting based on the cognitive/achievement and social-emotional child profile of your child: I’m well connected to the independent schools and public schools in the Denver area and have ongoing relationships with their support teams

  • Experience working with anxious test takers and PDA students who may be hesitant or resistant to testing: I make it my utmost priority to give you testing results that accurately reflect your child, and not the test or testing environment

I feel strongly that the assessment process, report and feedback session are just the start of our relationship rather than the end product. I feel passionately about working with your family to implement the best recommendations for you. My philosophy is: let’s not change your child; rather, let’s change the environment, which is why the implementation of recommendations is so important.
